Is it much better than vinyl?
For most commercial applications, yes, it makes a huge difference. Vinyl decals peel at the edges, cannot adhere to textured surfaces like textured drywall, brick or concrete, require replacement every 2–4 years, and leave adhesive residue when removed. Direct-to-wall UV printing is permanent, seamless, works on any surface, and lasts 10+ years with no maintenance. The only time vinyl decals make sense is for truly temporary installations (under 6 months) on perfectly smooth surfaces.
Is it safe?
UV wall printing uses ultraviolet light to instantly cure and bond ink directly to the wall surface as it prints. The result is a print with zero VOC off-gassing after installation, making it safe for healthcare facilities, schools, and food-service environments. Once cured, UV inks are non-toxic, moisture-resistant, and scratch-resistant.
